After the chairs stop turning, we move into “Sweep” mode and help usher the public/customers off the mountain so that the grooming staff and maintenance can begin their shifts.
I was sweeping this run under our Couloir chair and felt like someone was watching me. Turns out, it was the rarely-seen Cortright Monster, checking to make sure I was doing my job correctly.
In fact, I was sweeping the run perfectly, some would even say breathtakingly perfect, and Cortright must have acknowledged as such because it then disappeared back into the shroud without a word.
